Treasure Hunting Tips

.Buy A GPS and learn to use it. I use mine every time I go out. Even if I do not take my detector. I can mark a place I want to return to. It shows exits on the highway. Gas stations, lodging, food and more.

.Buy the best detector you can afford. Let you budget be your guide. You get what you pay for. If you cannot buy the best, buy what you can afford and use your finds to pay for an upgrade at a later time.

.Learn to use your detector. Learn what every sound means. Learn everything about it. Plant a coin garden. Bury coins of different types at different depths and learn the sounds.

.Learn to use your detector. This is very important!!

.Do your homework! For every hour you spend detecting, spend 2 hours researching places to go. Let the Librarians know you by your first name. They can help. Read book and articles on treasure hunting. Learn to use maps along with the symbols.

.HAVE FUN and enjoy the outdoors, climbing mountains, the open air. But just have fun. If you do not like being outdoors, buy a 60 inch TV and become a couch potato because you are in the wrong hobby.
