Quote From The Book: It is popularly supposed that mining for gold with dredges is an industry which has grown up within the last decade, and that it was a success almost from the beginning. This is not true. There are bleaching skeletons of dredges scattered over California and New Zealand, some of which were build nealry half a century ago. There was a dredge near Oroville, on the Feather River, in the fifties. This Book contains 70 illustrations. All photos here are from the book.
