Lots of spectacular blast footage, as well as footage of soldiers and sailors being exposed to radiation. Quite possibly the first movie showing the Bikini Atoll Bomb drills.



A-Bomb Blast Effects
From 1959

The explosion in this film is an airdropped 19 kt nuclear device. the test explosion was part of operation Snapper and was called dog. in conjunction with the dog shot, the desert rock IV exercise was conducted.

Soldiers ducking to shield their eyes from the blast and standing up, were knocked down by the shockwave.

Tale of Two Cities
1946

How the atomic bomb destroyed the people and cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan.
